Madame Mbei Dighambong Joins Global Experts at 25th REACT Program in Spain

Cameroon is proud to be represented at the 25th edition of the Rapid Expert Assistance and Cooperation Team for Conflict Prevention, Crisis Management, and Post-Conflict Rehabilitation (REACT) training program. The event, hosted at the Platja Albir De L’Alfas del Pi Social Center in Alicante, Spain, features Madame Mih Bibiana Mbei Dighambong, the CEO of Bihndumlem Humanitarian Association of Peace and Hope (BIHAPH) and a frontline member of the Cameroon Women Peace Movement (CAWOPEM).

About the REACT Training Program

Organized by the Helsinki Spain Association, REACT is a five-week intensive training program designed to enhance knowledge and skills in conflict prevention, crisis management, post-conflict rehabilitation, and development. The training brings together 15 participants from various countries, including Cameroon, Colombia, Spain, Mexico, Nigeria, Argentina, Afghanistan, Togo, and Ethiopia.

Participants receive:

  • Insights into the main threats to international security and peace.
  • Practical skills for fieldwork in international peace operations.
  • Training on understanding the causes of armed conflict, the roles of key actors, and the impact on civilians.

The courses are delivered by experts and trainers from leading international organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union.

The Significance of REACT

Established in 2003, REACT aims to prepare professionals from diverse backgrounds to join the Rapid Expert Assistance and Cooperation Teams of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The program focuses on fostering global cooperation and equipping participants to effectively contribute to peacebuilding initiatives.
